Who can take a pole fitness class?
Absolutely any fitness level, however, the participant must be over the age of 18 and in good health. Pole fitness is a tough all around body workout so if you suffer from neck or back pain you might want to check with your physician first to see what is a good fit with your body.
What will the class involve?
The class begins with floor stretching, this is a very important part of class to warm up your muscles and relax you! Then, we roll up the mats and get you familiar with your pole. There are various stretches and exercises we do on the pole and on the wall, this is where the unbelievable leg and butt work out begins! Then we will ease you into cool spins and small routines, of course there is the booty shaking and fun in between. Trust me, we have fun!
What if I miss class?
Each class is important in learning all the skills needed for graduate to the next level, however, if you need to miss one class you will need to contact the studio or your instructor within 24 hours or the class is forfeited.
What should I wear to class?
Any clothes you feel comfortable wearing! Be yourself, if you prefer to work out in sweats then wear them, all workout clothing is fine. It is definitely easy to wear workout pants at first, because it makes spins easier. Over time when you are ready to start some poses and more advanced spins shorts are preferred. Also, classes are done in bare feet, so wear flip flops. No lotion and Jewelry please it scratches poles and makes them slippery.
How many people can be in a class? And how long are classes?
Each class is designed to give each student personal attention and coaching, but we like them personal too, so 5 to 6 is usually the limit. We do offer private hourly classes for shy girls or to get a little extra attention! Class length 1 h. Be there a little early, so we can start on time and you can get a great work out!
